The 89th WHO Executive Committee reviewed the second evaluation of the implementation of the global goal of health care for all from 1985 to 1990. The results of the evaluation show that the health status of the world’s population has improved significantly, mainly due to the decline in infant mortality, the increase in per capita life expectancy, and the expansion of various forms of primary health care services. However, the results of the evaluation also reflect that the gap between the most developed countries and developing countries has increased. In the same country, the gap in health services enjoyed by the rich and the poor has also gradually widened.
