水轮风机是近年来发展起来的一种利用循环水回水富余动能的设备,使用该设备可以在工程改造量很小的基础上实现对循环水回水富余扬程的利用,从而达到节能的目的。惠州炼化第一循环水场为了最大限度地挖掘节能能力,对2号、3号、4号、5号冷却塔风机进行节能技术改造,即用HLW-4000型水轮机取代LF92型轴流风机电机作为动力源,带动风叶旋转,满足冷却塔抽风降温需求。介绍了技术改造内容及投资概况,并结合不同工况下的实际运行数据,分析了实施改造的可行性以及所能达到的冷却效果。实施改造后,循环水冷却塔按照每年工作8400h计,则每年节约用电462×104kW·h,每年节约电费约277.2万元;实际生产中,水轮风机运行平稳,循环水温差及流量均能满足实际生产需要。利用水轮风机可以降低运行成本,节能效果明显,可在炼化企业推广应用。
