The fluorine in cement and its raw materials is usually measured by steam distillation-thorium nitrate titration and zirconium-alizarin red colorimetric method. The procedures of these methods are complicated and time-consuming. In recent years, the simple and rapid determination of fluoride ion selective electrode in the field of silicate analysis is becoming more common.
