This article describes the experiment and qualification of a high-power, linear, quadrupole, high-power lab at the Roma Aeronautical Research Center. Using the device as a series modulator for a klystron amplifier, the achieved parameters are 120 kV video output, a duty cycle of 0.05 and a pulse width of 300 microseconds. Efficiency, collector buck, flow diversion coefficient, control grid interception, anode (screen grid) current and collector plate loss and other parameters of the measurement have been completed. Experiments show that it can control the pulse width and shape at various voltage and power levels. The test results show that it is possible to work with an appropriate load tube at a working duty ratio of 0.06 at 140 kV and 100 amps. This switch was designed and manufactured by the company Vivian under the auspices of the Roma Aviation Research Center.
