By numerical solution of wheel-rail contact under the action of water medium, a numerical analysis method of the adhesion of high-speed wheel-rail water medium is established. The variation characteristics of the wheel-rail adhesion decreasing sharply with the increase of the train running speed are discussed. A qualitative explanation of the mechanism of wheel-rail adhesion decline was given
