近几年来,越来越多的一线老师都有这样的困惑:每天辛辛苦苦拓展单词用法,认认真真讲解解题策略,用已是沙哑的嗓子翻译着每一篇完型和阅读,可到头来,学生背单词仍是那么困难,好不容易记住一些,写起文章时,却又张冠李戴,让人啼笑皆非;写习题时总还是欠思考一步;完型阅读全凭运气。在困惑中我开始反思:我们的教学如何才能适应新时期的社会发展和新时期对英语人才培养的要求?我们应该摒弃分数本位思想,要有长远目标,不能着眼于眼前的一次单元考试或月考,不能单纯为了分数而教学;另一方面更不能仅守着自己的一亩二分田,缺乏整体规划。不仅我们的教育要遵循百年树人的原则,我们的英语教学也要遵循这一原则,决不可以急功近利,特别是在新时期的教育背景下。近几年的高考说明都向我们传递了一个信息:在英语中进行素质教育与帮助学生获得高分并不矛盾,而是一种水到渠成的关系。

We should abandon the idea of fractional-based thinking and have long-term goals. We should not focus on the immediate first unit test or the month Test, can not simply for the sake of scores and teaching; on the other hand can not only guard their own acre dichotomy field, the lack of overall planning. Not only our education should follow the principle of a hundred years of trees, our English teaching must follow this principle, and we should never get quick success and immediate success, especially in the education background of the new era. In recent years, college entrance examination instructions have sent us a message: quality education in English and help students get high scores is not contradictory, but a matter of course.
