Language master Lao She once talked about an intriguing story: Wang Bo, a great writer of the Tang Dynasty, wrote two most complacent words: “Falling clouds fly together with solitary flock, Qiushui grows up for a long time.” According to legend, he was later flooded in water. He died, and he still remembered the two sentences after he died. He was haunted on the water every day and repeated these two sentences. Later, there was a man passing by. Hearing, he said: “You are not too good in these two sentences. If you delete the word ’and’ and ’together’, change it to ’Falling in the Clouds, Qiu Shui’s Sky and Clouds’, it’s not more straightforward. Is it better?” It is said that since then no haunting has occurred and ghosts have been convinced.
