Just as Britain has diplomatically, politically and militarily left many Indians with “inheritance,” India’s approach and ethos are also equally strong with the British. India is still stuck in the media era, which is related to its degree of economic development. Most citizens have no access to computers at all, much less to get information through new media. In India, new media has developed but is still in its infancy. India and China have similar national conditions. Both are developing and emerging powers, with more than 1 billion population, multi-ethnic and multi-lingual languages. However, the situation of media development between China and India is quite different. In China, the new media has greatly surpassed the trend of traditional media while India still stays in the age of newspapers as a “primitive” flavor.
