目前,建筑工程的特点是增加建筑物的高度和屋面的跨度,加大工艺设备和起吊荷载,这就要求采用桁架、拱之类的结构,利用杆、柱等承压构件.一种新型的结构——钢管混凝土结构,其断面既小而且承压能力高,能满足上述要求,最适合于作这种构件.所谓钢管混凝土就是在钢管内充填混凝土,它既合理地利用了钢材,又充分地利用了混凝土抗压能力高的特点,因而能大量地节省建筑材料,降低结构造价.
