1.经比较研究结果证明:广西的甘薯瘟二种病原细菌〔菌株29(167—1)和2(167—1)〕及华南农学院寄来广东的甘薯瘟病原细菌(菌株 IR_4)在形态与染色反应,培养特征,温度的关系,生理生化反应,血清反应等方面是不相同的。在致病性程度与寄主范围方面,广西的二种病原细菌也有所不同。2.经过鉴定,广西的二种病原细菌是分别隶属于黄色杆菌属(Xanthomonas)和有孢杆菌属(Bacillus)。广西甘薯瘟病原细菌之一鉴定为一新种:Xanthomonas batatae n.sp.;广西甘薯瘟病原细菌之二鉴定为另一新种:Bacillus Kwangsinensis n.sp.这两种病原细菌最主要区别在于形态上后者菌体特别长大并具有芽孢而前者则较短小而具有单极单鞭毛并具有较强的致病性等。3.广东甘薯瘟病原细菌虽经作比较研究,但未作致病性测定与未加命名,而仅作该菌的初步描述。
