Field measurements of 90Sr content in environmental soils at decommissioning of nuclear facilities are a thorny issue because of their pure beta radiance, which is difficult to obtain by direct measurement of their content data. A prototype that is being developed that consists of a multilayered plastic scintillation fiber array and a NIM standard electronics analysis plug-in enables direct measurement of 90Sr content in the soil in the laboratory and measurements of 90Sr standard soil sources and 137Cs such as gamma-standard soil sources , The detection efficiency and the γ-ray scintigraphy factor (the detection efficiency ratio of 90Sr and γ-nuclide by the detector and the effect of γ-nuclide on the detection of 90Sr were calculated.
