研究了温度对法布里-珀罗铌酸锂电光开关性能的影响。理论分析结果表明,铌酸锂晶体折射率热变化引起的光程差变化要比线性热膨胀引起的大一个量级,而电光效应热变化引起的光程差变化则比前两者的小得多。折射率随温度的改变是晶体温度升高造成光程差变化的主要原因,进而使法布里-珀罗电光开关透射峰的中心波长发生漂移,失去对光束的调控能力。可以通过在铌酸锂晶体上施加直流电压或者在法布里-珀罗腔中加入液晶波片的方法对温度的影响进行补偿。
The effect of temperature on the electro-optical switching performance of Fabry-Perot lithium niobate was studied. The theoretical analysis shows that the thermal retardation caused by the thermal change of refractive index of lithium niobate is one order of magnitude larger than that caused by linear thermal expansion, while the optical path difference caused by the thermal change of electro-optic effect is much smaller than that of the former two . The change of refractive index with temperature is the main reason that the optical path difference changes due to the increase of the crystal temperature, and then the center wavelength of the Fabry-Perot electro-optical switch’s transmission peak drifts and loses its ability to control the light beam. The effects of temperature can be compensated for by applying a DC voltage to lithium niobate crystals or adding a liquid crystal wave plate to the Fabry-Perot cavity.
