In metal cutting, where cutting edge inclination is not equal to zero are called bevel cutting. In this case, the cutting speed is not perpendicular to the cutting edge. Due to the cutting speed of the tool relative to the workpiece in the direction of the cutting edge, the outflow section of the chip is not perpendicular to the cutting edge but deviates from the main section by a main direction angle η of the chip flow as shown in FIG. 1.
