在中国古代,乐律、度量衡被看作是彼此结合的学科。其中,前者是决定后者的根本。因为这两种学科具有某种数字对应的关系,度量衡的基本数据可以用乐律的数据作为参考,同时,这些数字又与哲学、天地和自然中的某些数字又能够神秘的结合在一起,这种观念流传了几千年,这种文化现象曾分别对这二个学科在古代的进步发展有过一定的影响,在对此历史初步探讨的基础上阐明了度量衡起于乐律的渊源所在,同时度量衡与“法”一直有着千丝万缕的联系。直至今日,世界上很多国家仍以“天平”作为“法”的标志。
In ancient China, musical instruments and weights and measures were considered as a combination of each other. Among them, the former is the basis for determining the latter. Until today, many countries in the world still use “balance” as the symbol of “law”.
