余所撰《漫议蒙古“倒喇”剧》一文中,曾论证称蒙古“倒喇剧”为“蒙古院本”。“倒喇剧”在蒙古宫廷、大江南北、关内外延演达五百年之久而后衰,再不曾见其记录。其最终记录是康熙五十四年(1715年),这就是到了18世纪初期。余在此前论文中叙及的“其后再不见其记录”的说法,近似于倒喇剧已经消亡之说。其实并没有消亡。它在蒙古社会上演变发展成为蒙古“倒喇喇特”剧。其代表作为《白斑杜鹃》。它是由长篇爱情故事为基本题材创编而成的。
