Pancreatic encephalopathy (PE) is one of the serious complications of acute pancreatitis (AP). Early diagnosis is difficult and the pathogenesis is not completely understood. However, it is known that demyelination is an important pathological pathology feature. This review summarizes the immune mechanisms of demyelinating lesions in the central nervous system and aims to provide clues to the pathogenesis of pancreatic encephalopathy and the early diagnosis of it
