1992年我在香港中文人学英文系做访问学者,曾和郑敏先生一起讨论过德里达。郑敏先生是我接触过的最为敏感,思维最有活力的女学者之一,诗人的激情和理论家的敏锐交织在一起,使她的举止谈吐神采奕奕,富有吸引力。所以,当时她虽已年过七十,但是交谈起来仍让人感到一种青春活力。当时她所钻研的就是德里达的学问。她在报告中就提出了这样一个问题,我想着也真是困扰很多学者的问题:
