Agilent Technologies announced at the end of November in Beijing that it is sampling the first surface-mount parallel optical module supporting Terabit-class networking equipment. Designed for major networking and telecom equipment manufacturers in the industry, this new parallel optical module is designed for the ultra-large, scalable, bit-level switch routers they have developed to meet the tremendous market demand for increased network capacity.
