大栗子铁矿分布于前震旦系辽河群大栗子组千枚岩与大理岩(包括白云岩,下同)中.赤铁矿为主要成分的矿石.以磁铁矿或菱铁矿为主要成分的矿石,一般品位较低,仅占次要地位.赤铁矿矿石有致密块状和似文象结构两种矿石.其中大多数矿体无磁性,或具有极微弱的磁性,这一类矿床用磁法是无法找寻的,个别矿体具有较强的磁性,如北部矿体群K=1.835×10~(-6)C.G.S.M(表1).这一类矿体用磁法是可以圈定的(图4).从前人的资料来看,无论从矿体与围岩的电性差别还是野外实践,电阻率法均未能取
