主席、各位委员、各位同志:福建人民新闻出版工作,一年来在中央及华东和本省党政领导之下,并由于人民政治觉悟程度的日益提高,在广大人民支持之下,报社和出版事业都有相当的开展。全省六家公私报纸,现在发行共四万五千七百八十三份,比起解放初期发行两万两千余份增加一倍以上,福建日报现发行两万份,比起反动统治时期福州七家报纸共发行不过六千份的数目增加三倍以上。新华书店在全省已建立分支机构三十七处,到目前为止,仅福建分店就印书两百九十一万一千三百册,连同外埠运来书籍,
