中和之道:唐文治先生《诗经大义》诗教旨要

中国诗学本乎《诗经》。本诗立教,因教成德,此“诗教”乃中国文化之要义,盖身体力行,推己及人,皆建基于人性与社会之善良期盼,诗之为学,莫逾于此。唯百年来学术风尚之转移,诗教之义未得正视,难免有憾于诗学整体之认识。但泛论概念,则未免皮傅,盖践履之学,必须注意时代、人物、活动等三者之互动,而诗教之实践,于近代为不切,故备受冷落。然亦未尝无独清之士,亲议倡导,著书设教,而济济多士,于苦难时代不啻为黑夜之明灯,期盼旦明之有复,是其唯唐文治先生(1865—1954)与其《诗经大义》九卷乎!是以拟通盘介绍,先生考证其成书与刊行之时间,次则阐明体例,而重点则在全面考述其诗教论之义理脉络,以见其诗道之宏广,其中“端性情”之以救世之王道重旨,更一以贯之,诗教以此促成人性之善化与公义之实现,足以起后世之沉溺于私欲恶行者焉。 Chinese poetics is almost “The Book of Songs”.
