内燃机车万向轴驱动,是随着开始生产高速、轻型柴油机及其与液力传动配用而发展起来的。万向轴用来传递柴油机到传动装置、再由传动装置到车轴齿轮箱之间的扭矩。由于它能在错开一定角度的情况下几乎毫无损失地传递功率,所以提供了多种布置方案的可能性。此外,它能补偿转向架偏转时角度和长度的变化,使柴油机采用弹性支承成为可能。万向轴属于传动装置中最可靠的部件。在任何轴重下,即使是最充分地利用粘着系数,动力的传递是安全的。万向轴工作稳定,维护简单,检查方便,保养经济,并具有好的互换性。一些无须维护的高转速万向轴,正在实用中接受考验。
The universal shaft drive for diesel locomotives was developed with the start of production of high-speed, light-duty diesel engines and their use with hydraulic drives. The cardan shaft is used to transmit the torque from the diesel engine to the transmission, and then from the transmission to the axle gearbox. Because it delivers power almost without any loss at an angle, it offers the possibility of a variety of arrangements. In addition, it compensates for changes in angle and length during deflection of the bogie, making it possible for diesel engines to be resiliently supported. Cardan shafts belong to the most reliable part of the transmission. At any axle weight, power transmission is safe even with the fullest use of adhesion coefficients. Cardan shaft work stable, simple maintenance, easy to check, economical maintenance, and has good interchangeability. Some maintenance-free high-speed universal joints are being tested in practice.
