农民是我国现代化建设的一支重要力量,也是新农村建设的主力军。然而,我国农民整体素质不高的现状已成为建设社会主义新农村的严重障碍,在新时代背景下不断提高农民素质,培养新型农民具有必要性和紧迫性。大规模培养造就新型农民必须要调动全社会力量共同参与,充分利用社会资源,发展农村教育和培训,丰富农民的科技知识、完善农民的生产技能以及提高农民的经营能力。
Peasants are an important force in the modernization drive in our country and are also the main force in building a new socialist countryside. However, the overall quality of peasants in our country has become a serious obstacle to building a new socialist countryside. Under the background of a new era, it is necessary and urgent to constantly raise the quality of peasants and train new peasants. To cultivate a new type of peasants on a large scale, we must mobilize the participation of all social forces, make full use of social resources, develop rural education and training, enrich farmers’ scientific and technological knowledge, improve the peasants’ production skills and enhance peasants’ management ability.
