《人文科学中历史世界的形成》(1910)与《〈形成〉续篇研究计划》(又名《历史理性批判草稿》)是威廉·狄尔泰的哲学名著,也是解释学历史中最重要的著作之一。作为该书的英文版导言,本文集中讨论了其中的几个重要而又颇具争议的问题:生活知识与科学认知,历史及其生产系统,人文科学的范畴,说明、表现和推理性再现,以及基本理解与高级理解的关系等。最后,本文阐述了上述两作的写作史,探讨了它们与狄尔泰其他主要著作的理论关系。
“The Formation of the Historical World in the Humanities” (1910) and “The Study of Formation” (aka The Draft of Historical Rational Criticism) are the philosophical works by William Dilthey and the most important book in the history of hermeneutics one. As an introduction to the English version of the book, the paper focuses on a few important but controversial issues: life knowledge and scientific cognition, history and its production systems, humanities, categories, descriptions, manifestations and reasoning reproductions, As well as the relationship between basic understanding and advanced understanding. Finally, the paper elaborates the writing history of these two works and discusses their theoretical relationship with other major works of Dilthey.
