“流脑”是流行性脑脊髓膜炎的简称,是一种呼吸道传染病。在我国北方,一般是在1～2月病人开始多起来,3～4月最多,5月逐渐减少,6月以后就极少见到了。为什么冬春季“流脑”病人多呢?这是因为冬末春初气温变化较大,空气湿度也较低,人们的鼻粘膜干燥,容易引起炎症,降低了对“流脑”病菌的抵抗力,“流脑”病菌就可能乘虚而入。另外,冬春季节气温低,人们在室内活动多,门窗关得很严,不注意通风换气,就会增加“流脑”传播的机会。所以,在冬春季要注意预防“流脑”。
