In the past 20 years, the development of low alloy steel has undergone an unprecedented revolution. This revolution involved less development of new steels (such as plastic-induced phase transition (TRIP) steels), rather than the application of existing knowledge to improve process technology and the relative integration of research findings and metallurgical fundamentals with existing steels many. The main area where this revolution took place is low-alloy, high-strength steel (HSLA steel in the world for short, the same below). The importance of this type of steel to industry can be testified by the large number of international conferences and hundreds of reports in recent years. Some people call it a silent revolution and not an extravagant one.
