Kawasaki Heavy Industries has developed the use of laser welding and FSJ called the joint method for the next generation of stainless steel and aluminum alloy body manufacturing. This is a technology with many features and potential that enhances appearance quality and added value by making effective use of low-heat input characteristics. This article describes these development concepts and their application to real vehicles.
