1杂交作物的种子水稻、棉花、大白菜、洋葱、番茄、茄子、辣椒、胡萝卜、黄瓜和西瓜等一代杂交种具有双亲的综合优势,适宜留作种用。因为杂交种从第2代开始,便产生性状分离现象,生长不一致,杂交优势减退,产量降低,因此生产上杂交种子只能用一年,不能继续留种。2在水泥场上晒过的种子在水泥地上晒种,特别是含水量高的棉种或稻种,由于地面温度高,种子呼吸作用旺盛,生理机能受到破坏,部分种子会变成“哑种子”(即种胚受热致死),完全失去发芽能力。
