The monthly “Thought and Time” (1941-1948), founded in 1941, is a peer-influential peer publication in China’s war and post-war wars. In the great changes of the times, this group of scholars pay more attention to the carrier of thought - the role of the country’s cultural and educational undertaking. They want to guide politics with academic force. The prayers of this idealism also met the corresponding changes in the face of the realities of political issues because of the conversion of scholarship. The different interpretations of the five-power constitution by Zhang Qiyun, Chen Zhi-mai and Qian Mu demonstrate the corresponding changes brought about by their identity changes. There has always been a long way to go between ideal and reality. Once a student has become involved in politics, he or she has also become a part of the network of power, and the resulting impact is beyond his control.
