In April 2016, the United States Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) delivered a report entitled “United States Missile Defense: From Ballistic Missile Defense Systems to Integrated Anti-aircraft Guidance” in the “Universal Alliance.” The report analyzes the tactical and strategic goals of the ballistic missile defense system in the United States and the Asia-Pacific allies and studies the current status of the capability-building of integrated air defense and missile defense in the various armed services of the United States. The report argues that the United States faces the ongoing development of China in the Asia-Pacific region and the ability of “anti-access / regional refusal” and North Korea’s adherence to the nuclear and missile development plan.
