The expansion of the number of hospital rooms, considered on a human-scale basis, is intertwined with landscape design like a city with squares, curved streets, parks and city blocks. In architecture, public, semi-public and private spaces are clearly defined. In various forms of free division, the rooms are arranged around the inner courtyard. The rooms face the exterior of the building, while the surrounding gardens are used as streamlined spaces and common living spaces. The unique structural system incorporates a specific shell steel frame to suit the technical system. The HVAC system is located one below the floor, along the track area of the floor. In these places, the free-standing height of about 1,5m, to facilitate maintenance work. The requirements for a technical system close to the façade were greatly reduced and the undulating ceiling calculated the height difference into the room height. The combination of all glass curtain walls allows the reconstituted sun to enter the ward. Although much of the hospital will be rebuilt, the design retains the facility of a smaller existing hospital. The building will be designed and used as an accommodation for the elderly and day-care center for children.
