Objective To investigate the neuroelectrophysiological characteristics of patients with head discomfort before stroke. Methods Electroencephalogram (EEG) / brain electrical activity mapping (BEAM) was performed in patients with acute headache associated with hypertension. The stroke patients were followed up for 6 months , Stroke-free group as the control group, EEG / BEAM characteristics of the two groups were compared, and the relationship between hypertension and BEAM changes was compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the EEG / BEAM showed that the absolute power value of fast wave band decreased and the absolute power value of slow wave band increased in both groups (P <0.05). With the prolongation of hypertension and aggravation of disease, BEAM Abnormal rate also increased significantly, the study group than the control group abnormal rate was higher (P <0.05). Conclusion BEAM can reflect the changes of brain function in patients with pre-stroke head discomfort more sensitively, so as to provide a reference and basis for the early prediction and preventive treatment of stroke.
