用经纬仪兼测高程或用水准仪兼测方向在测量历史上也会有过,现在还可以看到有很多经纬仪的望远镜面上装置着有一个长型的水准管,也可以看到有些水准仪上装置着有水平度盘。这些装置就是为了经纬仪除了测定方向之外,尚能够测定高程;使水准仪除了测高程以外尚能测定方向。测量工作在水文站上虽然是不可少的基本工作,但是并不是一项经常的工作。如果也使测量工作分得较为单纯或使用较为专门性的仪器,那末这些仪器的利用率
