I will summarize this session of the discussion related to the tuberculosis epidemiology and control plan and try to propose future tasks. Regarding the prevalence and incidence of tuberculosis, the world appears to be divided into three groups: the first group includes smaller countries such as Europe and North America where tuberculosis problems are smaller and continue to decline; and the second group, with our host Singapore as Representatives, other countries such as Argentina, Malaysia, Algeria and South Korea, have more tuberculosis problems than the first group but have seen a marked decline in recent years; the third group includes most other developing countries
