在无产阶级文化大革命中，我队职工在毛主席无产阶级革命路线指引下，发扬敢想敢干的革命精神，决心自行设计、制造液压泥浆泵。在设计、制造过程中，以修配工人为主体的三结合技革小组，经过充分发动群众，克服各种困难，于一九七六年上半年着手设计，同年年底制造出第一台液压泥浆泵。这种泵由于采用液压传动机构取代机械拐臂机构，使液压泥浆泵的重量仅为仿苏的200/40型泥浆泵重量的四分之一。
