But perhaps in the face of this building we consider it more appropriate for the ancient Romans to interpret ancient Egypt. What this article points out is that the Egyptian architecture built during the Ptolemaic era in the Nile Valley is clearly opposed to the Greek tradition and is the reason why the new ruler, the Romans, is happy to adopt it.
