本文介绍研制由4096位 MOS 器件做成的(524 K 位组中央处理机使用的)一种主存储器的某些主要部分。MOS 器件组成的存储器可以实现高速、低成本、高组装密度和模块化且易维护的特点。此外,这种统一化的设计和技术概念能用于存储器部件和控制逻辑。由于 MOS 器件能较容易制造,产品的研制时间也明显地缩短了,这些优点也正好配合中央处理机的存储器也随着要具有比较大的容量,要降低成本几乎不改变性能的现实趋势,后者就意味着存储器在接口上的取数时间从300 ns~600 ns、周期时间从500 ns~1000 ns 仍然是最感兴趣的。
This article describes some of the major components of a main memory developed by a 4096-bit MOS device (used by a 524-Kbit central processing unit). Memory composed of MOS devices can achieve high speed, low cost, high packing density and modularity and easy maintenance. In addition, this unified design and technology concept can be used for memory components and control logic. As the MOS device can be more easily manufactured, the development time of the product is significantly shortened, and these advantages also coincide with the fact that the memory of the central processing unit also needs to have a relatively large capacity to reduce the real tendency that the cost hardly changes the performance. Means that the memory access time on the interface from 300 ns to 600 ns, the cycle time from 500 ns to 1000 ns is still the most interested.
