美国国立橡树岭实验所生物学部为了研究60百万电子伏质子与300千伏峰值X线的相对生物效应,用3135只小鼠作了一次大规模的实验。通过对缩短寿命、引起肿瘤和非肿瘤性疾病等大量参数进行评价,得出上述两种射线的相对生物效应为1.0或略低于1.0。该实验约有80%的动物作了组织学检查,本报告的材料就是上述实验提供的。
In order to study the relative biological effects of 60 million electron volts protons and 300 kilovolt peak X-rays, the Department of Biology of the National Oak Ridge Laboratory conducted a large-scale experiment with 3,135 mice. Through the evaluation of a large number of parameters such as shortening the life span, causing tumors and non-neoplastic diseases, the relative biological effects of the above two types of rays are 1.0 or slightly less than 1.0. About 80% of animals in this experiment were examined histologically. The material in this report was provided by the above experiment.
