Objective To understand the quality of disposable medical supplies in urban medical institutions and to prevent and control nosocomial infections. Methods Sampling and testing methods were used to monitor the disposable medical supplies used by urban medical units. Results A total of 565 single-use medical supplies, with a pass rate of 85.84%. The qualified rate of sterile medical products was 89.74%, the qualified rate of medical products contacting with mucosa was 74.65%, and the pass rate of medical products contacting the skin was 74.65%. The qualified rate of single-use sterile medical supplies was significantly higher than that of medical supplies with contact mucosa and skin (P> 0.05). There was no significant difference in pass rate between the two (P <0.05). Conclusion The overall hygienic quality of single-use medical supplies in urban medical institutions is not high, especially the qualified rate of the products contacting the skin and mucous membranes is relatively low, which requires further strengthening of supervision.
