苏联制成了一台交流电力传动的透平列车。车上采用了崭新的动力传动装置:具有自由式牵引透平的燃气透平发动机——同步发电机——具有鼠籠型转子的异步牵引电动机。牵引透平带动同步发电机工作,并可以根据负荷情况,改变同步发电机的转速(从零到最大值)。整流装置(反向器、极转换开关、激磁接触器)的尺寸很小,使高压室的尺寸做得很小。主发电机的激磁电路和辅助电路由透平压气机轴带动的发电机供电。
The Soviet Union made a turbo train with AC power transmission. The car features a brand new power transmission: a gas turbine engine with a free-wheeling turbine - a synchronous generator - an asynchronous traction motor with squirrel-cage rotor. The traction turbine drives the synchronous generator and changes the speed of the synchronous generator (from zero to maximum) depending on the load. Rectifier (inverter, pole changeover switch, magnetic contactor) is small in size, so that the size of the high pressure chamber is made very small. The magnetizing circuit and auxiliary circuit of the main generator are supplied by the generator driven by the turbine compressor shaft.
