人工神经网络作为人工智能的一个重要分支已被广泛地应用于矿业中各种问题的研究，但是归纳起来可以分成以下４类问题即ａ．模式识别与分类问题；ｂ．预测预报问题；ｃ．优化计算问题；ｄ．基于神经网络的专家系统的研制问题．本文结合以上４个问题介绍了人工神经网络在矿业中的应用现状，并指明了目前应用中存在的问题及未来的研究方向．
Artificial neural network, as an important branch of artificial intelligence, has been widely used in the study of various problems in mining industry, but can be summed up into the following four kinds of problems: a. Pattern recognition and classification problems; b. Forecast problem; c. Optimization calculation problem; d. Development of expert system based on neural network. In this paper, the application of artificial neural network in mining industry is introduced based on the above four questions, and the existing problems in the application and the future research directions are pointed out.
