1954—1964年,印度在西海岸沙壤土上进行了10年的椰子施肥试验。结果表明,施氮、磷、钾提高了产量。施磷、钾可提高每个椰子的椰干产量,而施钾能改良椰子性状。但施绿肥没有什么效应。每株椰子每年的最适宜的施肥量为:氮0.47公斤;五氧化二磷1公斤;氧化钾0.89公斤。
In 1954-1964, India conducted a 10-year coconut fertilization experiment on sandy loam on the west coast. The results showed that nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium increased yield. Phosphorus, potassium can increase coconuts per coconut production, and potassium can improve coconut traits. But green manure has no effect. The optimum amount of fertilizer for each coconut per year is: 0.47 kg of nitrogen; 1 kg of phosphorus pentoxide; 0.89 kg of potassium oxide.
