Traditional Nordic countries generally refer to Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland. Now comes the concept of a kind of “new Nordic” that has expanded from five to nine countries and regions. The four additional countries are: Scotland in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and the United Kingdom (United Kingdom). From June to September this year, I had the opportunity to visit Denmark and Finland respectively, Sweden and Norway twice. I also visited several large manufacturing companies and also contacted a number of small and medium-sized machinery enterprises. I also worked with relevant trade associations, chambers of commerce and trade associations CCPIT held discussions, and thus had some in-depth understanding of the machinery manufacturing industry in the four Nordic countries.
