Two different reentry vehicles are given: the inflated reentry and downside demonstrator (IRDT) and Huygens. Both missions involved the re-entry of the orbit and completed them in 2005. The mission and specific design issues of the IRDT are outlined. The preliminary results of the recent IRDT flight are summarized and the methods used by the ESTEC to estimate the radiation fluxes that Huygens receives.
