一九八五年十月,省茶叶学会在崇安县召开的“乌龙茶研讨会”专门研究、讨论乌龙茶的历史、分类、药理、生产、销售等问题,目的是继往开来,为更好发展我省乌龙茶这一宝贵遗产而努力。同年十一月省农科院茶叶研究所为庆祝建所五十周年纪念会而举办的具有全国性的茶叶学术交流活动。这次的学术活动牵涉的面较广,从茶树育种、栽培到茶叶采制、销售;从茶树病虫害到茶叶机械;从茶叶的生理及对人体的保健作用到开发新产品;从茶叶科研到教学等等内容甚丰富,当然其中也包含不少有关乌龙茶的研究课题。我县是乌龙茶主产区之中,经常分析茶叶产销形势,研究茶叶发展策略,不断提高乌龙茶的竞争能力,对我县乌龙茶的发展具有一定的战略意义。
