“何谓中国”这个问题在近年引起越来越多人的关注与思考,新的有关研究对当下的主流历史叙事有着重要的突破。但是这些研究或者是从中原视角给出新的解释,或者是提出草原视角的重要性,却都未曾给出超越于中原-草原之上的统合性解释。应当在综合这两个视角的基础上,揭示出中国历史的多元复合性本质,将中国历史表达为一个体系史,对于中原、草原以及过渡地带的政治、经济、社会逻辑给出连贯的解释,从而构建一种理解中国历史的新范式。
The question of “what is China?” Has drawn more and more people’s attention and thinking in recent years. The new relevant research has made an important breakthrough in the current mainstream historical narrative. However, these researches either provided new explanations from the Central Plains perspective or raised the importance of prairie perspectives. However, none of them provided an integrated explanation beyond the Central Plains-grasslands. On the basis of combining these two perspectives, we should reveal the multi-complex nature of Chinese history, present Chinese history as a system history, give a coherent explanation of the political, economic and social logic of the Central Plains, grasslands and transitional zones, Thus constructing a new paradigm for understanding Chinese history.
