梓潼县七曲山大庙,是一座闻名川北的古建筑群,位于县城以北8公里处的古蜀道旁,川陕公路飞贯其中。七曲山古柏苍翠,郁郁葱葱,巍巍大庙,依山取势,隐现于林荫之中;红墙黄瓦,飞彩于青山之外。真有“路从古柏荫中转,楼向云峰缺处开”之风貌。 这座规模宏大,清幽肃静的古刹是祭谁的呢?有几种不同的说法,一说是纪念蜀人张育,一说是供奉文昌帝君张亚子,一说是明末农民起义领袖张献忠的家庙。也有的说张育就是张亚子,如1964年4月,四川古文管会编写的《四川省文物志名胜古迹》试写稿在“七曲山大庙”一条中写道:
