In this paper, EPMA, SEM / EDX and TEM / EDX were used to study the occurrence status of gold in Carlin-type gold deposit in a certain place. The characteristics of the analysis techniques and the analysis measures adopted were discussed. The combined use of these instruments clearly reveals that the so-called “invisible gold” is a gold-bearing mineral encased in pyrite, arsenic-bearing pyrite, clays and the like, which consist of a series of grains of several nanometers to several microns Nanometer gold particles, and the first time in the clay particle size less than 50A of natural gold particles. This provides a very meaningful evidence for further research and revealing the state of occurrence of superfine gold.
