本刊2008年第9期发表了题为《健康快乐——老年教育的核心理念》的文章(以下简称《健文》)。随后,我们就健康快乐可否作为老年教育核心理念,在读者中展开了讨论。在一年多的时间里,本刊围绕“核心理念”问题刊登了多篇争鸣文章,引起了很大反响。对《健文》的争论,充分反映了老年教育工作者求真务实和科学严谨的思想态度,体现了老年教育理论探讨与争鸣的良好氛围,它从一个侧面折射出老年教育理论探讨的内容越来越深入,越来越理性和严谨。十分感谢《健文》的作者,以“健康快乐”之石,激起了老年教育理论研究这池春水的阵阵涟漪。为了使读者更好地理解和把握老年教育核心理念这一命题,本刊特邀天津市教育科学研究院副研究员岳瑛同志撰写了《老年教育的核心理念——一个亟待研究的课题》,作为本刊编辑部对讨论的小结。诚如岳瑛同志在本文中所言:“希望此次争鸣,能起到抛砖引玉的作用,以引起老年教育研究同仁们的进一步关注,适时将老年教育的核心理念摆在重要议题上加以研究。”
