以加利福尼亚为背景的“田园三部曲”(《毒日头》、《月亮谷》及《大房子中的小女人》)是杰克·伦敦后期的代表作。在这些作品中,伦敦凝注了对美国历史、现状、文化形态、自然环境、美国精神等多方位的严肃思考。然而,这些作品并没有得到我国批评界足够的重视,批评界要么忽视它们,要么贬低它们。这种批评现状的产生是有多方面原因的,也给我们带来很多启示。
In the background of California, “Pastoral Trilogy” (“poison sun head”, “Moon Valley” and “little house in the big woman”) is Jack London’s later masterpiece. Among these works, London paints serious thinking on many aspects such as the history of the United States, the status quo, the cultural forms, the natural environment and the spirit of the United States. However, these works have not been given enough weight by critics in our country, and critics have either ignored or derogated them. This criticism of the status quo is produced for many reasons, but also give us a lot of inspiration.
